Northern Italy’s defining feature is certainly the Alpine chain that forms a massive arc from the Mediterranean border with France to the Adriatic confine with Slovenia. Vineyards thrive in the foothills of these mountains, and narrow valleys nestled high between the peaks. These places enjoy a rich and colorful history that has endowed them with more cultural diversity than perhaps the rest of Italy.

The combination of different soil types, cool climate, and a myriad of indigenous grape varieties creates a stunning palette of possible outcomes in the glass.

Rosie Kasper-Bennett, Certified Sommelier, will take you on a fun and educational Northern Italian wine tasting journey. Come join this exciting and informative class where you’ll taste two white, and two red wines she has personally selected. You will learn about the wines, the interesting stories behind these labels, how to taste them, what to pair the wines with, and ultimately what makes them so delicious.

How to participate?

• Join us in the converted horse barn at 87 Grant School Road in Healdsburg.

• From Santa Rosa, take exit 502 in Healdsburg, turn left on Old Redwood Highway, and then turn left on Grant School Road. The barn will be on your left.

• Bring your favorite snack to class for yourself and or to share with your friends you are coming with.

• We will be having a little trivia for a special prize gift.

This fun class will educate and entertain anyone who wants to know more about Northern Italian wines, whether you are a beginner, an enthusiast, or a connoisseur. Bring your friends and family, colleagues, neighbors. Must be 21 or older to attend.
